The opportunity

Nigel Wright are working in partnership with a leading chemical manufacturing company who are looking for a new Customer Service Manager to join them to implement and further develop the high levels of customer service.

Full Time Hours - 7.00am - 3.30pm

£35,000+

The role...

This role needs someone with previous experience as a Customer Service Manager within manufacturing or similar industry. Some of the key focus and duties of this position as follows:

  • Deal with customer orders ensuring promptly dealt with and follow up documents provided in a timely manner.
  • Deal with requests for data sheets and other related information.
  • Be aware of payment terms and performance of customers to ensure deadlines are met
  • Manage customer complaint system.
  • Review existing customer service processes/procedures. Identify and implement improvements where required.
  • Set and track performance against key performance measures.
  • Monitor customer feedback
  • Develop customer order forecasting process.
  • Formalise customer quoting system, and develop tracking system including trial products.
  • Support the MD in identifying new customer opportunities in the UK
  • Identify and prepare new marketing materials for the business.
  • Contribute to our social media input to continue to raise the profile of the business.

What we are looking for...

This position requires someone with previous experience as a Customer Service Manager, implementing new procedures, reporting and a forward thinking approach to continuingly improving the efficiency for both the organisation and their customers. Some of the key skills we are looking for in the right applicants is:

  • Leadership and Team building
  • Organised and disciplined approach to work
  • Numeracy and IT skills – Excel and Word
  • Good negotiator and good communication skills – dealing with all levels of management and external customers.
  • 5 GCSE including Maths and English GCSE grade C or above (or equivalent)
