This ongoing temp role can be 100% remote. Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00. Pay for the role is £15-20 per hour, dependent on experience. Whilst working as a VAT Compliance Analyst, your key responsibilities will be:
- Analysing thousands of lines of data weekly, often using subjective VAT rules, including Contracted Out Services.
- Managing complex processes and assignments.
- Presenting information appropriately to stakeholders.
- Working within the VAT team to support with TEST file analysis, Query workbook resolutions and amendments.
- Responsible for monthly VAT Adjustment Journal uploading and posting the Journals into the ledgers.
- Reviewing and sending client VAT returns within strict deadlines.
- Keeping up to date with current HMRC regulations.
What you'll need to succeed
- Tax knowledge is not essential but is ideally preferable.
- Areas of tax would be: Contracted-out-Services (COS), VAT and import VAT.
- The ideal candidate would ideally need to work on their own initiative with minimal supervision.
- Have a good solid background in accountancy.
- Part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA) would also be desirable or fully qualified AAT.
- May be required to assist in areas of Finance and may be required to work on ad-hoc tasks.
