Mechanical Design Engineer - £35k-£45k - Suffolk - Special Purpose Machinery
Platform Recruitment has partnered with an innovative manufacturer that develop precision special purpose machinery from R&D stages through to on-site commissioning. They're looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join an expanding design team. You will need to be capable of delivering highly robust and thoroughly tested mechanical design solutions as well as leading mechanical development on new projects.
Main Duties:
+ 3D CAD design
+ Design and develop new machinery
+ Prototype and test designs
+ Translate customer requirements to specifications
+ Test feasibility of customer requirements
+ Produce & maintain technical documentation
+ Work as part of a team and on individual projects
Skills & Experience Required:
+ Degree educated in relevant discipline
+ Strong 3D CAD skills
+ Produce manufacturing drawings
+ Experienced in designing special purpose machinery or equipment
+ Knowledge of fabrication, machining and assembly techniques
+ Hands on and practical workshop skills
The salary will be between £35,000-£45,000 depending on experience. There is also a generous benefits package available.
