This role is a permanent opportunity to join a national business within their talent department focusing on performance management and people development. This would be a good opportunity for someone with previous Talent Development experience to join a growing business and taking ownership of a new initiative within the company.

Client Details

Our client is a national business within the Customer Service industry based in Slough. This role will be joining a growing department with lots of opportunity for future progression and growth within the position but will need someone who is confident to work with limited support and take ownership of all tasks.

Description

The Talent Development Advisor will be responsible for:

  • Define, deliver, and continuously improve talent development and succession planning practices across all levels
  • Proactively manage internal talent moves to retain talent, develop skills and breadth, strengthen succession, and cultivate key talent pools
  • Develop a pipeline of leaders through targeted high-potential interventions, enabling mobility and growth of key talent.
  • Design and implement performance management processes and systems, including goal-setting, performance evaluation, 360 feedback, and performance improvement plans
  • Facilitate training sessions and workshops to educate managers and employees on performance management best practices, goal setting, providing feedback, and conducting performance reviews.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on performance related matters, including setting SMART goals, identifying development opportunities, and addressing performance issues
  • Coordinate and facilitate performance appraisal cycles, ensuring timely completion of evaluations, calibration sessions, and goal setting meetings.
  • Analyse performance data and metrics to identify trends, gaps, and areas for improvement, and provide actionable insights to inform decision-making.
  • Regularly review and update performance management processes and tools to ensure alignment with organisational goals, industry best practices, and legal requirements
  • Collaborate with HR and other stakeholders to integrate performance management initiatives with broader talent management and employee engagement strategies
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies related to performance management and employee relations
  • Manage monthly reporting, policies and procedures are in place and are audit compliant, inc creating process frameworks and operating instructions
  • Champion Employer Branding and CPD (Continuing Professional Development)
  • Identify opportunities to participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote the company's employer brand and showcase our commitment to employee development
  • Research and identify employer awards, certifications, and recognition programs related to people development and learning initiatives, and lead the application and nomination process

Profile

The ideal Talent Development Advisor will have the following skills/qualities:

  • Ideally 1 Year or more experience within performance management, talent management, L&D etc.
  • Demonstrable understanding of talent development principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with managers, employees, and other stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Commercially minded with the ability to communicate effectively
  • Confident personality with visible enthusiasm and passion within this specialism
  • Flexible approach to workload in a busy environment
  • Immediately Available/Available on short notice
  • Previous experience with performance management systems, ideally CultureAmp, is not essential for this role but would be the ideal.

Job Offer

The Talent Development Advisor will receive:

  • Up to £40,000 salary per annum depending on experience
