SEND Tutor

We are seeking a dedicated Tutor to join our team, providing life skills education to students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) within the Further Education sector. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for education and a commitment to enhancing student development.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Develop and deliver a curriculum focused on life skills tailored to the needs of SEND students.
- Create and execute personalised learning plans to monitor and support student progress.
- Assess student work regularly, offering constructive feedback to encourage and direct learners towards their objectives.
- Promote a cooperative and inclusive classroom environment that accommodates diverse learning styles.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in SEND education.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A relevant degree in Education or a related field.
- A valid teaching qualification for the Further Education sector.
- Proven experience in a similar role, specialising in life skills and SEND students.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging and motivating a varied student cohort.
- A proactive stance on fostering and upholding an inclusive educational setting.
- DBS on the update service or the willingness to apply for one.
