Apprenticeship Coach

for the Training and Apprenticeship Services contract with the MOD for the Airforce at

Wattisham

As the

Apprenticeship Coach

you will visit learners at their workplaces, utilizing your vocational experience to deliver learning, coaching, and assessment. You will support apprentices in achieving their qualifications, ensuring all components of the apprenticeship are completed in a timely manner and meet industry standards.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and complete all required documentation.
  • Support and coach learners through their apprenticeship, ensuring timely completion and compliance with relevant standards.
  • Monitor and review learner progress to meet customer expectations.
  • Ensure all documentation is accurate and submitted on time.
  • Provide portfolio-building advice based on programme requirements.
  • Record, plan, and track learner progress according to reporting processes.
  • Deliver high-quality, industry-specific teaching and learning sessions as required.
  • Conduct assessments in line with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Offer support and guidance to help learners reach their full potential.
  • Provide timely, effective feedback to learners, ensuring appropriate challenge.
  • Prepare learners for End Point Assessments and encourage high performance.
  • Build strong relationships with quality, business support, and compliance teams, adhering to company policies on quality assurance and Continuous Professional Development (CPD).

**Qualifications & Experience:

  • Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (or equivalent).
  • Award / Certificate in Education & Training (or equivalent).
  • Maths and English – GCSE grade C or above (or equivalent).
  • Relevant industry related qualification (minimum of level 3).
  • Experienced within an Aviation or Aircraft engineering environment.
  • Good understanding of work-based learning programmes.
  • Previous experience in the defence sector, ideally within the army arena.

  • Excellent organizational and relationship development skills.
  • Strong communication abilities and a proactive approach to achieving results.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
  • Strong customer service skills and a commitment to promoting diversity.
