Morgan McKinley is recruiting for an Equities and Fixed Income Project Manager on behalf of a top-tier investment bank in Belfast.

Cash Securities Operations is responsible for the support of Fixed Income and Equities securities settlements across various trading desks and depositories. Candidate should have a proven settlement/operations background, to act in a subject matter expert capacity to lead efforts to provide solutions and suggest process improvements. The candidate will need to work closely with the Market Operations Transformation Program Management Office (PMO) team in addition to working with technology to provide requirements and test technology solutions. The candidate will be expected to lead calls and support various operations managers in the support of complex/critical/large scaled projects to support the business, strategic initiatives and industry changes.

Responsibilities:
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding the bank, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices.
- Work closely with the Change Management team to review strategic opportunities for innovative solutions to help re-engineer processes, build scale and mitigate risk
- Identify & work with stakeholders and key organizations to ensure program & project scope definition meets business objectives build and maintain relationships with each.
- Communication of status, issue, and risk disposition to all stakeholders, including senior management, on a timely basis.
- Escalate program risks to the Markets Ops transformation lead and other senior management as appropriate.
- Identify inefficiencies in daily tasks and lead improvement(s) in processing productivity and risk mitigation
- Continued engagement and face off with our business, technology and operations partners
- Support the development of an effective control framework that fully meets Audit, Compliance and Regulatory requirements
- Provides leadership and guidance when reviewing business or industry initiatives and ensuring successful implementation, and sound controls are in place
- Demonstrates an advanced level of understanding of products and processes, and of how duties relate integrate with others in the team and closely related teams
- Utilises strong communication, interpersonal skills to interact with colleagues and stakeholders, and to exchange potentially complex sensitive information, while being sensitive to audience diversity
Qualifications:
BS/BA Degree or equivalent work experience (4+ years of Securities Settlement Experience)
