My client, an International Trading Company are looking for a Trade Operator to work in the Non Ferrous department.
The role of trade operator is to administer contracts, logistics, and payments related to non-ferrous and ferrous raw materials department. The role covers a wide range of operational functions, which is extremely important to supply goods all over the globe in a timely/professional manner.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage execution/administration of Sales and Purchase Contract.
- Arrange the transportation of goods via Road, Rail, Barging and Sea Freight.
- Arrange customs clearance of good.
- Handle Bills of Lading and other commercially necessary documentation.
- Invoice relevant counterparties and control all payments by paying high attention to credit line.
- Liaise with relevant counterparties (direct or via branch offices/agents) by phone/email/letter.
- File contract/delivery evidences to track all stages of transactions ad update trading database.
- Improve workflow to reduce human error and to increase accuracy in contract administration.
- Administer currency receivables against FX contracts internally.
- Reconcile our accounting data against data provided by customers/ logistical service providers.
- Store, monitor and extract information as required from the trading and accounting systems.
- Administer the filing system and archiving (electronic and paper).
- Negotiate and produce documents for contracts based on Letter of Credit terms.
- Negotiate with logistical service providers to secure transportation at competitive price.
- Process payments to logistical providers.
- Investigate settlement queries with the Accounts Department and customers.
- Arrange warehouse stock inspections and circulate internally against the internal controls.
- Assist with system development.
- Support Ad hoc tasks when required.
