Our client a UK's leading family run car park operators, is seeking a Commercial Manager to join their team based in Manchester. Their ethos is to treat every car park as a valuable asset. This fantastic opportunity within their business for a highly self-motivated and results driven individual to join the Business Development Team. This is a full time, field based, permanent opportunity offering a salary of up to £37,500. Working Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.

What will you be doing?

Reporting to the Business Development Manager, you will support in driving the commercial sales and service growth of their range of services to customers and clients across the UK. To achieve this, you will increase commercial and business development opportunities through nurturing customer and client relationships and identifying, appraising, delivering, and maximising the potential of their new and existing car park sites to ensure the success of the group portfolio. You will be visiting site in the portfolio as well as working from the offices across the UK. You will take ownership to identify and prospect new business opportunities for car parks through qualifying leads/ self-generation using online review, site and market research methods to generate opportunities for new business acquisitions. You will ensure strong client relationships with new and existing clients to ensure client confidence, satisfaction and maximising all opportunities. You will support internal sales and marketing campaigns to proactively identify areas of improvement to optimise sales performance, tariff performance, area performance and customer incentives of our group car park portfolio, in line with operational management. You will develop, assisting and delivering commercial business plans, to support successful on-boarding of acquisitions, support ongoing growth potential and revenue and services performance, of our car parks within the portfolio. You will work collaboratively with our field management and internal departments to support with pipeline development, successful acquisition and on-boarding of new car park acquisitions into the portfolio. You will provide weekly commercial reporting snapshots to the Senior Management Team in conjunction with the Business Development Manager on lead generation, potential acquisitions, pipeline development prospects, sales and margin performance, tariff and competitor analysis, acquisition on boarding goals and commercial success factors across the car park portfolio estate.

What skills will you have?

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about sales and has end to

end sales experience from qualifying leads, pipeline conversation, acquisition on boarding

and creating commercial development plans and analysis skills, desirably within the car parking industry sector, with a minimum of two years demonstrable sales experience. Previous experience within a car park or facilities management industry background would be desirable but not essential. You will have the ability to build rapport and maintain long-term client relationships, have strong negotiation and closing skills, and be able to influence at all levels. You will have strong financial and commercial acumen, with the ability to analyse data trends and provide recommendations. You will be self-motivated with the ability to work independently, remotely as well as collaboratively in a team environment, supporting the business to achieve goals. You will have excellent communication, telephone manner and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels. You will be proficient in using IT systems and packages, including Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Power BI, Google Ad Words and CRM Systems. You will be able to travel to various locations, a driving licence is required for this position.
