TRANSPORT OPERATOR / PLANNER (x 2) -
FULL TIME / PERMANENT
Currently based in Horwich, however moving to Westhoughton mid-late June 2024.
The successful candidates will be well organised and motivated Transport operators that can arrange the deliveries of customers products on time and in full using the most effective means possible, and the best use of available resources whilst complying with transport legislation and health & safety.
This position will be 4 on 4 off, 12-hour day shifts including weekends.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Manage drivers to ensure start times are adhered to.
- Communicate all changed made to the rest of the team.
- Plan daily work ensuring nothing gets missed.
- Fully understand and work to agreed KPIs for department.
- Ensure profitability of both owned and sub-contracted vehicles.
- Manage drivers with their loads to ensure it meets safety standards.
- Comply with all transport legislation, reducing tacho-graph infringement to below the company targets.
- All other transport related duties including those deemed appropriate to the role requested by line management.

Experience:
- Transport Planning: 2 years' experience
