Are you ready to embark on an exciting adventure as a Reception Teacher, guiding and supporting children through their first year of school?

Join our dedicated team located in Dewsbury, where we are seeking an enthusiastic Reception Teacher to inspire and educate our youngest learners. This is a full-time day-to-day position starting in September 2024 and continuing until July 2025.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Early Years Education: Plan and deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons and activities that support children's learning across all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Play-Based Learning: Create a stimulating and interactive learning environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and independent inquiry through play-based learning experiences.
  • Individualized Support: Recognize and respond to the diverse needs and abilities of each child, providing tailored support and scaffolding to ensure all children can progress and succeed at their own pace.
  • Parental Engagement: Establish positive partnerships with parents and caregivers, maintaining regular communication to share children's progress, offer support and guidance, and foster a collaborative approach to their learning and development.
  • Assessment and Progress Tracking: Monitor and assess children's progress and development, maintaining accurate records and using assessment data to inform planning and differentiate instruction effectively.

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one) is essential.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience working in an early years or primary school setting, with a strong understanding of the EYFS framework and pedagogy.
  • Passion for working with young children and supporting their social, emotional, and cognitive development during this critical stage of their education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
