Job Title: ETP Operative
Location: Winchcombe, Cheltenham
Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent
Working Hours: Full-Time (40 hours per week) Flexible to work rotational weekends and be on call as required.
Hourly Rate: £13.45

Our client who is a leading manufacture in Cheltenham is seeking a dedicated and skilled ETP Operative to join their team. As an ETP Operative, you will be responsible for various tasks, including water testing, machinery maintenance/repairing, data analysis, and reporting. Your role will primarily focus on ensuring compliance with environmental permitting standards, along with supporting equipment maintenance and waste disposal procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure full compliance with environmental permitting regulations, ensuring all discharges into the river are within discharge consent levels.
- Conduct daily monitoring of water quality and accurately record and capture water analysis data on the database.
- Monitor plant equipment to ensure optimal functionality and conduct necessary repairs as directed.
- Assist in the development and implementation of risk assessments related to machinery and equipment.
- Support waste disposal procedures, including the appropriate storage and handling of chemical waste.
- Contribute to pollution contingency planning in accordance with the environmental permit.
- Assist with data collection and prepare presentations for training purposes.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of COSHH and monitoring data sheets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Keen interest in water quality and environmental conservation.
- Ability to diagnose faults in machinery and equipment and undertake repairs as directed.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing/production environment.
