Do you have experience in providing high quality Student Records management within a busy fast paced Higher Education setting? Are you a good communicator with exceptional organisational skills and high attention to detail? If so, Signature Recruitment has an opportunity for a Senior Student Records Officer at a leading higher education establishment in London.

This is a temporary, full-time role with an immediate start for a one-month contract. The position is initially campus based however, after a short period of training, it offers a hybrid working arrangement.

As a Senior Student Records Officer, you will provide a high level of service within the department reporting directly to the PhD Academy Manager. The role involves responsibility for Postgraduate Research students record administration from enrolment through to completion and award. You will be responding to emails, triaging as appropriate and escalating information requests when needed. In addition, the post holder will have good IT skills with experience using Excel and SITs to enter data accurately and with attention to detail.

Senior Student Records Officer Key Responsibilities:

  • Working confidently with other members of the team forming positive working relationships. Acting as the first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders in relation to Casework and Records team processes.
  • Leading the delivery of student casework and records management. Expertly dealing with data input and management on SITs
  • Recording changes in student status and other events and maintaining and updating fee status records to a high standard
  • Supporting the administration of the research degree examination process, including maintaining records associated with examination processes and dealing with examiner fee and expense claims
  • Completing tasks associated with producing and sending official letters, transcripts and certificates
  • Other ad hoc duties as required to assist in a fast paced and busy work environment

Senior Student Records Officer Key Skills:

  • Previous experience working in a Higher Education setting showing strong data management skills
  • Highly organised with the ability to calmly manage a busy workload, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines. Also ensuring attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all tasks
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to assist and support staff and students
  • Proficient in IT skills with excellent Microsoft365 skills, especially Excel. Good knowledge of Student Records Management systems - ideally SITs
