The Job
As the QA Tester, your responsibilities will include:
- Guide and manage the QA team to foster a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Work closely with engineering and product teams to ensure a deep understanding and thorough coverage of business requirements and technical specifications.
- Design and implement robust QA strategies, test cases, processes, and best practices.
- Oversee the detailed creation and execution of test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Mentor and support the professional development of QA team members by providing necessary guidance and training.
- Regularly review QA processes and outcomes to identify improvement areas and drive continuous enhancement.
- Manage the defect lifecycle, ensuring timely identification, reporting, and resolution of issues.
- Coordinate with external clients and stakeholders to address quality-related concerns and ensure satisfaction.
- Keep up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve the QA function.
You
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Proven experience as a QA Engineer in a technology company, with a successful track record in a lead or management role.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with a focus on mentoring and developing team members.
- Strong technical skills, including proficiency in automated testing frameworks and scripting languages.
- Extensive knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Effective defect management and resolution, ensuring timely fixes and clear communication.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with engineering teams and stakeholders.
- Solid organisational, planning, and prioritisation skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Commitment to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the overall QA function and team performance.
