Service Manager

Domus are on the lookout for a Service Manager to take the reins of a new 4-bed supported living property in Erdington.

This is a specialist residential service that supports adults with Learning Disabilities and challenging behaviour.

You will work proactively to build effective working relationships with Local Authority practitioners, families/carers and other stakeholders and your strong vision and coaching approach will enable the development of your team and service.

Our ideal candidate will be an experienced Deputy/Service Manager, with excellent leadership, management, and organisational skills.

Key Responsibilities of a Registered Manager:

Responsible for the management and supervision of staff to enable them to maximise their potential, through leadership, coaching, example, support and guidance. • Responsible for budget management.

  • Adhering to all CQC regulations and raising standards of care where necessary.
  • Be responsible for the negotiation of contracts and fees with Local Authorities and PCT`s for new and existing services.
  • You will be required to maintain the high care standards that have been set in the home and be an excellent manager of staff.

Registered Manager Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 and the ability to work towards Level 5.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of CQC, Health and Safety and Local Authority requirements.
  • Experience of managing residential services for adults with Learning Disabilities.
  • A background in recruiting staff team and occupancy.
  • Experience of line managing a large staff team.
