Location: Bury St Edmunds

Contract: Permanent, full time, hybrid working

Your role:

  • Performing month-end accounting processes to ensure accurate, complete, and reliable financial information.
  • Providing clear narratives for interpreting key financial data and helping divisional finance teams understand risks and opportunities.
  • Preparing meaningful balance sheet reconciliations, resolving discrepancies promptly.
  • Delivering high-quality reports and insights to support strategic and operational decisions.
  • Offering excellent customer service to internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborating across teams to provide effective financial reporting support.
  • Ensuring compliance with GAAP principles and maintaining robust internal controls.
  • Supporting external audits and process improvements.
  • Staying informed about source data and financial systems.
  • Adapting to operational changes and assisting with projects.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified by experience or part qualified
  • Experienced with finance and ERP software together with a strong knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint (Power BI would be an advantage but not an essential)
  • Prioritise workload and deliver high quality financial information
  • Large company experience is an essential
  • Knowledge of the retail and hospitality industry is an advantage.
