Temporary Data Support Assistant

Our client based in Poole has a requirement for two Data Support Assistants on a temporary basis over the summer. The main purpose of the role is to process incident reports and produce basic statistics. The role requires high levels of data inputting and processing at speed and accurately. Some of the information will be of a highly sensitive nature.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. To process and quality assure report forms including filing and archiving at the end of the peak season.
  2. To initiate referrals and ensure replies are received on time.
  3. To screen incident content for both quality and data protection purposes.
  4. To support the recruitment of seasonal temps and manage their workload, including day to day priorities.
  5. To be the main point of contact for all questions/queries on incidents.
  6. Provide training for summer temps and to support them with queries and questions.
  7. Update fatality records entered by service units with extra information from other sources.
  8. Be responsible for management of causal analysis data entry, using expert knowledge to resolve complex issues / questions and research specific records as required and update the database with findings.
  9. Assist with the production of Annual Reports and standard statistics on organisation services.
  10. Deal with queries and questions from volunteers, staff and the public.

Experience required:

  • Data inputting and quality assurance.
  • Experience with Word and Excel.
  • Experience of SAP would be an advantage.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good interpersonal skills and telephone skills.
  • Team worker.
  • Flexible approach.
  • Well organised and able to prioritise workload.

Hourly Rate - £12.60 per hour

Hours Per week - 37 hours (Mon to Fri)
