Lloyd Recruitment Services is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a leading healthcare provider located on the outskirts of Haywards Heath, who are currently seeking a dedicated part time Finance Assistant to join their team.

If you are a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a passion for finance, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity. You will be reporting to the Registered Manager, who will be working alongside the Accountant.

Key responsibilities for the Finance Assistant:

  • Processing payments, invoices and receipts
  • Entering data into the accounting software
  • Paying vendor invoices and tracking bank account balances
  • Completing VAT returns
  • Raising invoices and reconcile variations in customer invoices
  • Managing employee expense claims and checking timesheets
  • Collaborating with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks
  • Providing assistance to the Accountant with administrative duties including filing, archiving and resolving any queries as required

Requirements of the Finance Assistant:

  • Qualifications in AAT, Accounting, or related fields (or equivalent experience)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential
  • Attention to detail, maintaining accuracy in financial records and transactions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices (desirable)
  • QuickBooks experience (desirable)
  • Problem-solving skills including the ability to identify and resolve financial discrepancies and challenges as they arise

Additional Information:

  • Driving licence and own vehicle is essential due to the location of the office.
