New Job | Interim Senior Management Accountant – 6 month – Circa £450 per day (inside IR35– Remote (must be Northwest based)
Morson is partnering with a British Transport & Logistics business looking for an experienced Senior Management Accountant to lead and manage their budget and 5-Year Financial Planning processes.
This key role requires a highly skilled individual to design financial reporting structures, liaise with senior leaders, and provide insightful financial analysis that drives business decisions.
As a key member of the finance leadership team, you'll report to the CFO and support the business strategy by leading budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
Key Responsibilities of the Interim Senior Management Accountant :
- Design and implement the annual budget process and 5-Year Financial Plan.
- Work closely with executives and senior leaders to understand and forecast business needs.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and provide detailed financial insight through ad-hoc reports.
- Manage the Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cashflow statements.
- Facilitate communication between business lines and support functions.
- Ensure consistency between HR and Finance, particularly in relation to People costs.
Requirements:
- A recognised Accountancy qualification (CIMA, ICAEW, or similar).
- Extensive experience in financial reporting, with a proven track record in process improvement.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel; experience with PowerBI and VENA is preferred.
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.

Location: Warrington / Northwest
Pay rate: c£450 per day inside IR35
Security Clearance: BPSS Clearance Required
