I am currently working with an independent Christian day Primary school based 5 minutes from East Ham station, for a Trainee ABA Tutor. This will be an exciting opportunity for you to be part of a new service, to help children with autism or other related difficulties. You will be delivering an individual education programme based on the Applied Behaviour Analysis theory. You will be part of a team of teachers, consultant, supervisors and therapists to deliver a programme that will enable the learners to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
Qualification needed for Trainee ABA Tutor:
- MUST need safeguarding qualification.
- Must be able to work collaboratively within the organisational procedures of a Christian independent school.
- Have an understanding of 2015 SEND CoP.
- Teaching or tutoring qualification. NVQ Level 2 or 3 in relevant field.
- Ideally have a degree in Psychology.
- Ideally but not essential, have an understanding of ABA.
- Have experience working with children who have autism.
- Valid enhanced DBS or able to obtain before academic year starts (September)
The post is a full time position with the option to be directly hired by the school if qualified.
