Group Financial Accounting role with a well established retail business in Cumbria. You will be taking a lead on the audit and stat accounts as well as working closely with the FD.

A well established retail business in the North of England, who are looking to recruit a Group Financial Accountant into their team following significant growth.
You will be working closely with the FD and technical finance team, taking a lead on the audit process whilst preparing the stat accounts for the business. You will also be expected to assist with ongoing ERP system improvements and driving efficiency's across the business. There will be ample opportunities to progress and develop your skillset internally.
The successful candidate will be ACA/ACCA qualified and come from an audit or financial accounts background. Experience with FRS 102 and Group consolidations will be beneficial. They are looking to pay circa 55,000 for this position and is mostly remote with occasional travel to Cumbria.
Description
- Have expertise in group consolidations and strong financial modelling
- Up to date knowledge on FRS 102 and accounting standards.
- Experience in producing detailed receipts and payments cash flow forecasts.
- Involvement in the annual audit process for a group of companies.
- Good working knowledge of basic UK tax compliance rules.
- Working knowledge of multi-currency groups.
- High level of Excel
- Able to work to agreed time frames
Profile
The successful candidate will be ACA/ACCA qualified and come from an audit or financial accounts background. Experience with FRS 102 and Group consolidations will be beneficial. Being strong with Excel and being able to assist with the continuous improvements of the ERP system would be highly beneficial.
