Responsibilities:
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant specialising in Geography, you will play a vital role in supporting the teaching and learning process. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting the Geography department in planning and delivering engaging lessons.
- Supporting students on an individual and group basis, both in the classroom and during extracurricular activities.
- Providing one-on-one support to students with specific learning needs.
- Assisting in the preparation and management of classroom resources and materials.
- Supporting the class teacher in maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you should meet the following criteria:
- Hold a degree in Geography or a related field, demonstrating a strong academic background in the subject.
- Previous experience working with children, either through tutoring, mentoring, or volunteering.
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students.
- Have a genuine passion for education and a desire to make a positive impact on young people's lives.
- Hold an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check on the update service or be willing to obtain one before commencing the role.
