We have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant and supportive team at a Mainstream Secondary School in Greenwich. This full-time and long-term position will commence ASAP, lasting until the end of the academic year.

Responsibilities:

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant specialising in Geography, you will play a vital role in supporting the teaching and learning process. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the Geography department in planning and delivering engaging lessons.
  • Supporting students on an individual and group basis, both in the classroom and during extracurricular activities.
  • Providing one-on-one support to students with specific learning needs.
  • Assisting in the preparation and management of classroom resources and materials.
  • Supporting the class teacher in maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you should meet the following criteria:

  • Hold a degree in Geography or a related field, demonstrating a strong academic background in the subject.
  • Previous experience working with children, either through tutoring, mentoring, or volunteering.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students.
  • Have a genuine passion for education and a desire to make a positive impact on young people's lives.
  • Hold an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check on the update service or be willing to obtain one before commencing the role.
