Location: Ilkeston, Derbyshire
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum
Plus: 3-5% bonus based on net profit (achieved with an 85% occupancy rate and Good or Outstanding Ofsted rating)

About the Role
This is a warm and supportive two-bedroom home, you'll lead a committed team in providing exceptional care for children aged 10-18 with Learning Disabilities (LD) or Emotional and Behavioral Difficulties (EBD). Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management: Lead and inspire your team to deliver outstanding care, ensuring they are well-equipped, trained, and supported. Engage your team in fulfilling the home's statement of purpose, valuing each member's contributions.
Child Safety & Well-being: Foster a safe, secure environment where children's physical and emotional needs are met. Through organized education, nurturing care, and personalized well-being support, empower each child to reach their potential.
Compliance & Improvement: Oversee the home's compliance with all relevant legislation and Ofsted standards. Regularly review and improve performance, using insights from Regulation 44 reports.
Operational Support: Provide hands-on support during shifts and on-call, ensuring all care services meet required standards.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Lead meetings with children, professionals, and staff, maintaining positive relationships with social workers, team managers, IROs, and other key contacts. Handle staff rotas and support team training and development initiatives.
Skills and Experience Required
Qualifications: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Children's Residential Care (or equivalent) or willingness to work towards it; Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years as a Registered Children's Home Manager or 3 years as a Deputy Manager within a children's residential setting.
Regulatory Knowledge: Experience managing services under Ofsted regulations and handling complex behaviors, including trauma and attachment issues.
Leadership Skills: Strong organizational and leadership abilities with a record of managing conflicting demands effectively.
Additional Requirements: Right to work in the UK and a full driving license.
