Our client, an exciting private-equity backed brand, currently going through an exciting period of change and transformation, has a fantastic opportunity for a proactive Revenue Accounting Manager to join its talented team.
We're looking for someone who thrives in an evolving environment and has a passion for using technology to drive process efficiency and accurate revenue recognition. This is a hybrid role with 3 days expected in the office.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with other senior finance colleagues to develop, implement and maintain revenue recognition in accordance with IFRS15
- Working with cross-functional stakeholders to understand business transactions and ensure proper accounting treatment for revenue streams
- Providing leadership into revenue related tech
- Identifying and assessing risks and implementing strategies to mitigate
- Communicating complex revenue recognition accounting concepts to non-finance and provide guidance
- Developing the team of 3 direct reports
- Working closely with the Finance Systems Team to develop functionality
Key skills and experience required:
- Qualified Accountant
- Strong understanding of revenue recognition standards and knowledge of cost accounting principles
- Exposure to the audit process relating to revenue recognition and working with auditors
- Ability to collaborate with other departments, such as sales, marketing, and legal, to understand business transactions and ensure proper revenue recognition.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address financial challenges and optimize financial performance
- Capacity to think strategically and contribute to long-term financial planning aligned with organizational goals.
- Demonstrates strong leadership skills and adhere to high ethical and professional standards.
