Property Manager

My client is seeking a Property Manager with a passion for progressive rural/commercial lettings and a proven track record in property management and development. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader, commercially driven and possess a keen eye for detail. This role involves overseeing tenant management, leading development projects, handling property and land transactions, strategic planning and team leadership.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Oversee tenant management, including rent collection, lease renewals and addressing tenant queries.
  • Ensure compliance with property laws and regulations.
  • Manage and supervise the maintenance team for prompt resolution of maintenance requests.
  • Support agricultural to commercial property conversion projects, ensuring timely and budget-conscious completion.
  • Coordinate with external contractors and suppliers for development projects.
  • Assist with property and land purchases and sales, including due diligence and negotiations.
  • Develop strategies to maximize property portfolio profitability and value.
  • Provide regular performance reports to directors and identify expansion opportunities.
  • Lead the maintenance team, providing training and development opportunities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in agricultural or commercial property development is highly desirable.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • A degree in property management, real estate, construction management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Recognized qualifications in property management or real estate, such as RICS or CPM.
  • Project management certifications like PMP or Prince2 are advantageous.
  • Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong problem-solving, financial acumen, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Proven experience in property management, development, and tenant relations.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of property law, compliance regulations, and health and safety.
