Business Development Manager

To support our progress, we are currently recruiting for a Business Development Manager to come and join our field-based team covering the South West/South Wales.

As our Business Development Manager, you will:

  • Plan, research and execute potential sales opportunities in order to drive profitable market share growth for the business
  • Drive proactive initiation of customer contact and conversations in order to obtain positive results
  • Establish credibility with customers - building trust through adding value by providing solutions that meets the customer's needs
  • Develop strong and sustainable customer relationships with key customers, ensuring that these relationships are managed with a high level of trust and integrity
  • Utilise a proactive data driven approach in order to make commercial decisions, including ensuring adherence to key sales processes and systems (CRM etc.)
  • Develop strong internal relationships across the Ibstock business (eg Production) in order to create better outcomes for the business and our customers

In order to be successful as our Business Development Manager, we would ideally like you to be/have:

  • Experience of delivering consistently against key sales and commercial targets, supporting the business to grow market share profitably
  • Experience of working in an environment selling across various sectors
  • Experience of selling multiple products
  • Experienced in building strong, long-term relationships with customers in a commercially sustainable way
  • Experience representing organisations at major industry events, conferences, trade shows, and exhibitions
