An experienced Full Stack Developer with relevant experience in .Net is needed to join our team at UK Vehicle Data, the UK's top provider of vehicle data based in Chesterfield, on a full-time basis. The role has a 6 months probation with a starting salary of £38K with progression.
We are seeking a skilled Full Stack Developer with a strong understanding of Microsoft SQL Server, C#, and Web APIs.
The ideal candidate will have experience writing queries and views and developing Web APIs. You will be required to work on some legacy ASP.NET (Framework) web forms applications (with C# backend), so you must be proficient with web forms.
As there will be a considerable number of "Full Stack" tasks, experience and skill with JavaScript, CSS, and HTML are a requirement.

About the Role
The main aspect of the role will be working with our internal APIs, including both the Front-End and Back-End applications.
However, when required, you'll also be working with our sister companies' data team to provide effective Microsoft SQL Queries, Views, and reports to aid them in their day-to-day activities. Due to this, the role will be office-based at Chesterfield.
Knowledge of technologies such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Blazor, Razor/MVC and cloud technologies like Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker is highly preferred but not mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain robust applications using C#, ASP.NET Web Forms & Web APIs
- Design and implement MicroServices to support scalable applications. - Write efficient queries and create views in Microsoft SQL Server.
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance
- Utilise cloud technologies, specifically Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure, for deploying and managing applications
- Maintain code quality through code reviews and adherence to best practices.
Required Experience:
- Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server, including writing complex queries and creating views
- Strong experience with C# and Web API development
- Good understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Knowledge of ASP.NET Web Forms for building and maintaining web applications
Desirable Experience:
- Experience with other RBDMS like PostgreSQL
- Experience with Blazor
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases, especially MongoDB
- Exposure to Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure
- Understanding of containerisation using Docker
- Experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration
