**Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate and manage a diverse caseload of public protection issues, ensuring legal compliance and enforcement of regulations.
- Conduct inspections, audits, and sampling programs to ensure statutory duties are met.
- Work collaboratively with key stakeholders, including businesses, residents, and external agencies, to support public safety initiatives.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on technical areas of public protection, ensuring high standards of service delivery.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of service projects, aiming for continuous improvement and efficiency.
- Represent the service in meetings, forums, and working groups as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
**What We're Looking For:
- Experience managing a multi-disciplinary enforcement caseload and delivering high-quality enforcement outcomes, including successful prosecutions.
- A solid understanding of public protection services and the ability to work effectively with external agencies and stakeholders.
- Demonstrable knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
- A degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification in a relevant field is essential; membership of a relevant professional organization is desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and mobile working tools.
- A valid UK driving license is required.
