Programmes Manager

Do you currently work within Events, Programmes, or a related Project Management role, looking for a new opportunity to make a real difference? Do you have a committed work ethic and a desire to add real community value with your work? If so, this is an exciting new opportunity to work for a North Leeds based Charity within a Programmes Manager role, leading the Programmes function. This Charity run some of the region's largest events and campaigns, working with a variety of businesses throughout the UK who offer ongoing support. This role requires high energy, exceptional organisation skills, and a very engaging approach. We are looking for someone who has gained experience managing end to end projects with extensive stakeholder management and operations. You will work closely with the CEO of the Charity to deliver an ambitious and strategic plan for charitable output and programmes, with the aim of gaining maximum reach and publicity.

This Charity's focus is all about passion, visibility and working within a dedicated team of professionals who break corporate rules in the aim of doing the right thing for the beneficiaries. You will work closely with all Charity stakeholders, including key supporters and businesses, as well as external agencies and Trusts throughout the UK, with the overall aim of identifying where the Charity's funds are best directed.

Key Responsibilities of the Programmes Manager:

  • Working very closely with the CEO on the overall charitable output with the aim of delivering an ambitious and strategic plan of charitable programmes
  • Working with the Trusts Manager to ensure all fundraising opportunities are maximised
  • Preparing and effectively managing a budget and reporting to the CEO on charitable expenditure
  • Delivering on charitable programmes and managing and engaging with the Volunteer network, bringing together a solid committee of volunteers and being a key point of communication for ongoing engagement
  • Project managing various campaigns and initiatives, including all operations and logistics with extensive stakeholder management
  • Working with and delegating tasks within the very supportive and committed team
  • Research, analysis and record management
  • Collecting data to produce effective impact reporting
  • Supplier management

The Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate related experience within a similar role. You may have worked within a Programmes role or within a Project led or PA role, where you have worked strategically within a business. A true 'people person' with empathy, who is bright and engaging and is excited by this superb opportunity.

We are looking for:

  • Experience within a similar role, perhaps Events, Project Management, Programme Management or within a PA or EA role where duties align with the above responsibilities
  • Positive in every area of your communication, able to influence and engage, communicating at very senior levels
  • Highly organised in every area of your work, able to manage conflicting deadlines
  • A strong work ethic, focused on the difference that you can make within the Charity
  • Excellent attention to detail with superb written skills with strong spelling and grammar
  • A team player, you will work closely with your colleagues and will support in all areas
  • Able to communicate effectively at all levels and from a wide variety of backgrounds
  • Ability to manage end to end campaigns and initiatives
