Marine Logistics Coordinator

Marine Logistics Coordinator – Diss, Norfolk - £30,000 - £35,000 per annum – Full time – Permanent

Hales Group are currently recruiting for a Marine Logistics Coordinator to join our client based in Diss, Norfolk.

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30-5:00 with 1 hour lunch (37.5hrs)

Holiday entitlement: 28 days per year plus bank holidays

1 day a week work from home.

Duties include:

  • Provide support to key projects from feasibility stage to project start-up and, if required, ongoing management
  • Continually drive improvements in processes, systems and equipment
  • Maintain and assist in development of Company management systems as required
  • Client liaison and development
  • Control base costs and put forward proposals to the Operations Manager to drive improvements to reduce cost whilst maintaining or improving safety
  • Handle client enquiries
  • Prepare costing sheet for Management approval to ensure up to date agreed costings are utilised before quote is prepared. Review of sheets to be undertaken at least annually
  • Ensure that profit margins are maximised wherever possible
  • Prepare formal quotes, in line with client specific contracts where appropriate, and sent in a timely and efficient manner
  • Follow-up enquiries for operations and ensure that any customer feedback is gained in order to track any lost revenue
  • Ensure that all operations (worldwide) are carried out in accordance with Company Operating procedures and guidelines
  • Scheduling of operations
  • Selection of appropriate equipment for vessels and confirming vessel suitability, including mooring arrangement checks in liaison with Marine Manager where required
  • Selection of appropriate transfer location co-ordinates taking into account vessel dimensions and client requirements
  • Co-ordinate travel arrangements for STS Superintendent(s)
  • Liaise with local agents and base operators before, during and after the operation, to ensure smooth running of the operation
  • Monitor all vessels movements, weather changes and any other factors which may affect the operation

Out of hours work to participate in an on-call rota system, to ensure operational coverage is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Following successful completion of a 3 month probationary period you will be auto-enrolled into the pension scheme and enrolled into the Company Death in Service Life Cover Scheme.
