Document Automation Specialist (Contract Express)

A fantastic opportunity to join Fieldfisher's Client Collaboration Solutions Team as a Document Automation Specialist. This is a key appointment for the continued implementation and advancement of the firm's document automation programme. The role will be spearheading the deployment and on-going delivery of this high-profile initiative, changing the way in which documents are created and delivered within the firm.

The Team

The Client Collaboration Solution's team forms part of the Knowledge and Information Services Department. Reporting will be directly to the Head of Knowledge and Information Services. The role will provide services to all legal and non-legal practice areas throughout the firm.

A bit about the role..

  • Lead the implementation of the document automation programme
  • Train users in utilising the firm's automation tool
  • Work closely with Professional Support Lawyers and other subject matter experts to optimise document automation
  • Provide training to subject matter experts on how to prepare a document for automation and provide best practice advice
  • Test and resolve errors in automated documents
  • Prioritise and deliver a pipeline of automated documents
  • Liaise with the document automation vendor's technical team and user group forums
  • Collaborate with IT colleagues for seamless integration
  • Champion the firm's document automation programme
  • Assist in the preparation of client pitches and in relation to pricing of client projects requiring bespoke automation
  • Provide monthly and other ad hoc usage reports and data relating to KPIs and to proactively monitor usage
  • Support the offering of automated document services to new and existing clients
  • Provide support to the Head of Knowledge and Information Services with other knowledge projects including developing new legal technology systems and solutions

Key Skills & Experience

  • Experience with Contract Express & HighQ essential
  • Experience working in a professional services environment (preferably a law firm)
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to and enthusiasm for developing document automation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Experience at working as part of a team and the ability to work with virtual teams
  • Excellent attention to detail and the delivery of high-quality work
  • Ability to take the initiative and to juggle priorities
  • Understanding of or willingness to develop project management skills
