A School for children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs is looking for a Behaviour Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team in a long-term position starting either immediately or as soon as possible. The children in this school range from 5 to 16 and have a range of mental health needs. This is therefore an ideal role for an aspiring Behaviour Therapist to work along young people with behavioural challenges and help assist them in their learning.
As a Behaviour Teaching Assistant, your daily duties will involve raising the academic and emotional attainment of the students and assist the teacher in delivering fun and engaging lessons. The class of children will be extremely challenging and therefore you will need to manage their behavioural accordingly and be able to remain calm when challenging and complex situations arise. You will receive all the necessary training to deal with the difficult behaviour and gain fantastic experience needed to become a Criminal Justice Officer.
The ideal candidate will be a recent university graduate with a C in GCSE Maths and English. Confidence working with difficult behaviour is essential.
