We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Controller to join our diverse shared finance centre playing a key role in our daily finance operations. You will be working alongside a talented, like-minded team for some of Europe's largest frozen food brands including Birdseye, Aunt Bessie, Findus and Goodfella pizzas.
About the role:
The role will be a key individual within the Financial Accounting and Reporting team and will assist with the statutory requirements, group reporting requirements along with the running of a smooth month end close.
Key Accountabilities:
- Process journal entries within the SAP general ledger system
- Record treasury movements within the SAP general ledger system
- Maintain compliance with the set of SOX controls applied to departmental operations
- Perform month end activities including journal posting, reconciliations and reviews
- Assist in preparation of local audits
About you:
Applicants ideally would have some experience within a financial accounting team or be studying towards a financial qualification. Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook is essential. Accuracy and attention to detail is imperative.
- European language Spanish/Italian/Portuguese (desirable)
- Recent graduate in a relevant subject
- Studying for AAT/CIMA/ACCA or similar qualification
- Computer skills including the ability to operate
- computerised accounting, spreadsheet (Excel), and email (Outlook) at a proficient level
- Confident with strong communication skills and ability to articulate findings to stakeholders in written and oral forms
