We are recruiting an Account Manager to work for a family-owned ethical company based in Smethwick. The role will pay a competitive basic plus a healthy commission scheme.
Main duties will be:
- Generate sales and increase customer growth by interacting and building relationships with new and existing customers, ensuring achievement of personal and corporate growth and profitability
- Evaluate up-sell opportunities within assigned accounts, establish on-going process and application cost saving programmes within these customers to ensure retention and satisfaction
- Achieve customer incremental sales targets using proven processes, proactive negotiation and deal making to exceed revenue and gross profit targets.
- Overcome objections to close additional business and gain commitment for long-term business relationships
- Prepare and present the previous quarters activity and progression and forecast forthcoming quarterly activity
- Ensure that all customers are made aware of all of the value-added propositions that the business offers to customers
The ideal candidate will have the following experience:
- Experience of working in distribution is a distinct advantage
- Must be advanced in selling skills, handling and overcoming objections, sales closing, rapport building
- Have proven experience of gaining new business in current role
- Excellent listening skills and accurate customers service needs adhered to
- SAP knowledge would be advantageous
- Excellent time management skills, planning and organisation skills
- Performance driven and results orientated with the ability to tolerate repetitive work
- Be adept at liaising with people on all levels and backgrounds
