Role Summary

We are looking for a Framework Delivery Manager to join our team to be a part of the continual evolution of the Compendia system and support our Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) Framework. A key role within the department, managing required deliverables to clients under our LGPS Framework, with initial focus on the first client going live within the Framework. Responsible for ensuring delivery to both commercial and technical objectives of Pensions configuration activity within the department to both internal and external administration and software clients under the Framework. The role requires both an understanding of IT/Systems configuration and Pensions domain expertise.

Core Duties/Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • To manage the prioritisation and delivery of Business as Usual Support, small change and day 2 / framework deliverables for the EQ LGPS framework.
  • To ensure that all activities are run according to agreed best practice standards. These standards must provide clear visibility to the client, to internal management, and to all members of the team.
  • To maintain and enhance project management standards for areas such as project deliverables, client reporting, staff assignments, phases of testing, risk and quality management.
  • To ensure that all deliverables balance the needs of the client, against the overall needs of the company and any conflicting needs.
  • To maintain and enhance internal reporting mechanisms to ensure that issues are properly reported, monitored, and escalated as appropriate. Issues may include product functionality, financial profitability , divergences from the agreed plan, or issues raised by the client.
  • To provide management information on all areas of performance including resource utilisation, profitability, quality measures.
  • To act as a point of escalation for Framework issues including client complaints, profitability, risk mitigation and risk management, product faults (and work-arounds) and inter-project conflicts (eg over staff assignments or product releases),

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following experience skills and behaviours:

Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level, minimum A level at least 2 subjects
  • PMI or other relevant qualification, part qualification and/or on training programme

Job specific experience

  • Previous line management and project management experience
  • Experience working with a product development company (ideally in pensions)
  • Comfortable in dealing with pension professionals at a senior level
  • Familiarity with consulting and/or the administration and/or the implementation of systems in the pensions arena
  • Understanding of DB, DC, CARE and hybrid pension arrangements
  • Familiarity with current legislation and planned legislation regarding pensions
