Job Title: Senior Credit Control Manager
Location: North London (No Onsite Parking)
Working Hours: 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM
Salary: £38,000 (DOE)
Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Credit Control Manager with extensive B2C credit control experience in the retail sector. This standalone role requires someone who can manage consumer debt recovery independently, focusing on small, high-volume debts from individual customers.
The position offers the opportunity to take full ownership of the credit control function without direct management responsibilities or an in-person team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently manage the credit control process for consumer customers, ensuring timely collection of small debts within the retail sector.
- Develop and implement strategies for recovering overdue payments while maintaining excellent customer service.
- Handle escalated cases, negotiating payment plans with customers, and resolving disputes professionally.
- Monitor debtor balances and aged debt, regularly reporting on performance and key metrics to senior management.
- Collaborate remotely with the sales and customer service teams to ensure a unified approach to consumer credit management.
- Stay updated on consumer credit laws and ensure all practices are compliant with relevant regulations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a standalone credit control role, particularly within B2C retail.
- Skilled in managing and recovering small, high-volume debts from consumer customers.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to maintain positive customer relationships during the debt recovery process.
- Strong analytical skills for generating reports and tracking performance.
- Ability to work independently without direct in-person management.
- Good knowledge of credit laws and regulations affecting consumer debt.
