Simply360 Search are recruiting for a junior accountant to join an independent accountancy agency that specializes in supporting tech start-up businesses. They are looking for a highly motivated and organised individual who is eager to take ownership of their own client base while working collaboratively within a team.
Responsibilities
- Working with Accountants to manage bookkeeping services for a portfolio of clients in an accurate and timely manner - Pulling together and reconciling accounts to trial balance stage
- Collaborate with team members to respond to client inquiries, provide assistance, and build positive client relationships.
- Ensure a high level service to meet client's expectations, ensuring client assignments are in line with all relevant accounting standards
- Prepare control account reconciliations
- Assist in completing and filing VAT & Tax returns.
- Recording client's financial transactions
Requirements
- 2-3 years experience working in a practice environment
- Up to date to knowledge of all VAT procedures
- Experience using cloud-based accounting systems (Xero & Quickbooks)
- Qualified to AAT level or higher
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel essential)
In return my client is offering a salary of £30,000 - £35,000.
