Location: Secondary school in Harrow

Role: Full-Time - Learning Support Associate

Hours - Monday - Friday from 8.30am - 4.30pm

Start Date: Immediate

Salary: From £18,500 per annum

Learning Support Associate Overview: As a Learning Support Associate, you will work closely with the senior leadership team and SENCO's to support the learning and development of our young learners. Your role will encompass assisting with form tutor responsibilities, supporting with classroom activities, providing one-on-one support to EHCP students, and helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

The role is ideal for future teachers looking to complete their PGCE and/or Teacher Training. The school can provide support with these routes after 1 year as Learning Support Associate.

Key Responsibilities for Learning Support Associate:

  • Vover supervise within the department with the guidance of by the subject lead and deputy heads.
  • Provide in class support, and support accordingly to EHCP students within the class
  • Leading your own form group of upto 20 - 25 students, holding responsibility for their enhancement and academic growth.
  • Conducting attendance and registration checks, and responsible as the point of contact for form group and their parents.
  • Under the guidance of the SENCO, contribute to setting individual targets and to the review of those targets. Attend and contribute to meetings to review students' progress, and contribute to written reports
  • The school offers internal and external training, with opportunities for teacher training also after 1 year as a Teaching and Learning Associate

Requirements for Learning Support Associate:

  • Relevant experience working with KS2 to KS5 students is preferred in an educational setting.
  • A passion for early childhood education and a commitment to supporting the holistic development of each child.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A proactive and enthusiastic approach to learning and professional development.
