Interim Management Accountant / Knutsford / 3 - 6 months / 45k-60k / office based / Would consider a part time person (4 days a week)

Main responsibility:
Working for the FD, prepare and analyse essential management information that will inform the leadership team and allow them to make informed decisions about the business.
Day to day duties:
- Completing all balance sheet reconciliations.
- Reconciling the companies bank accounts.
- Preparing accruals and prepayments
- Reconciling significant monthly stock.
- Preparing the stock valuations and workshop job reporting.
- Preparing and posting all nominal ledger journals.
- Reviewing, investigating and providing analysis of areas of expenditure.
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts.
- Maintaining the fixed asset register.
- Preparing and publishing the weekly profit & Loss estimate and the weekly cash flow.
- Assistance with preparing the VAT return.
- Opening new supplier/customer accounts.
- Perform additional finance and admin tasks and responsibilities, deemed to be within their capabilities, to fulfil the needs of the business.
- Work with other departments on finance related activity.
The person
- CIMA (or equivalent) qualified.
- 3 years + in a similar role
- Due to the level of stock related work, must have manufacturing or similar fast paced background ie ( engineering, logistics, distribution, retail)
- Previous experience of using EPR
- Strong working knowledge of Excel
- Excellent communicator and team player
