Job Title: Mechanical Engineer
Salary: £38,000-£43,000 per annum
Location: Bolton
Job Type: Shifts Rotational (Mornings, Mids, Nights)
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to offer support to our client in Bolton ensuring the effective production of food products.
The Role:
- Diagnose faults and repair process, manufacturing, and packaging equipment.
- Cover for holidays and sickness with notice.
- Ensure all engineering work complies with GMP, health and safety laws, and company standards.
- Maintain plant and equipment to high standards of engineering, quality, safety, and hygiene.
- Perform planned maintenance, fault finding, and breakdown repairs, including installation and modifications.
- Learn and understand equipment operation to manage parameter changes effectively.
- Provide thorough handovers to the incoming shift.
- Preferred knowledge of HACCP and COSHH.
- Participate in training to stay updated with technological advancements.
- Manage workload efficiently, seeking improvements and performing running repairs.
- Respond quickly to plant stoppages and assist in planning and implementing equipment modifications.
- Perform additional duties as needed in line with the role.
Minimum Requirements:
- ONC level 3 Engineering (or equivalent)
