Title: Fund Accountant
Salary: £60k with discretionary bonus
A global leader in real estate investment, development, and management is looking to onboard a fund accountant to join its London-based finance team. Known for innovative, sustainable property solutions, the company's diverse portfolio includes commercial, residential, and mixed-use properties.
As a Fund Accountant, you will manage the financial operations of our property funds, including preparing financial statements, managing budgets, performing variance analyses, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Collaborating with property management and finance teams, you'll provide accurate financial reporting and support strategic decisions.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in fund accounting, excellent analytical skills, and keen attention to detail. You must also be a great team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Key responsibilities include:
- Prepare and assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the property funds.
- Assist in the development, monitoring, and variance analysis of fund budgets.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, performing month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and assist with internal and external audits.
- Conduct financial analyses to support property management decisions and provide cost-saving recommendations.
- Manage investor reporting, capital calls, distributions, and fund performance analysis.
Key requirements:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA finalist
- Must have experience working within the Real Estate/property or fund accounting industry
- Advanced Excel skills
- The ability to work across multiple work streams
- Great interpersonal skills
