Our client is a respected player in road safety technology sector, operating for over 50 years, and with a particularly strong presence and reputation in Scotland.

Description

? Identify, grow & close deals with new and existing clients in Scotland and Northern Ireland

? Build strong, trusted relationships with all clients and partners

? Work alongside Business Development and liaise with cross-functional internal teams

? Record all activities in the CRM and use the CRM as your primary working tool

? Grow, manage & own your pipeline in accordance with company growth strategy & targets

? Meet and where possible exceed agreed annual targets

? Attend and present at industry events

? Compile demos, pitches, bids and proposals

? Continual development of knowledge within the Scotland and Northern Ireland (Tech, clients, competition & policies)

Profile

A successful Business Development Manager should have:

  • Demonstrable flair for communication and relationship building
  • Experience of working with local authorities and understanding of local authority buying processes
  • Experience within the highways, transport & traffic sectors (desirable but not essential)
  • Drive for achievement
  • Comfortable working with technology based solutions
  • Track record of hitting sales targets
  • Knowledge on how to build relationships with a highly technical audience

Job Offer

  • A competitive salary package of £35,000 - £45,000, plus a company car allowance and bonus scheme of circa 15% salary. The business is open to implementing an individual bonus scheme for this role in favour of the company scheme, and are open to discussing this with prospective candidates.
