Domiciliary Care Deputy

Here at Dalesview we are looking for an enthusiastic Domiciliary Care Deputy to join our team based in Clayton-Le-Woods but you will be required to travel around the Company's supported living tenancies. Your work hours will be 35 hours a week with on-call, and in return you will receive a competitive salary of £30,500 - £33,000 per annum, dependent on experience plus bonus and health care plan.

Dalesview has been established for over 30 years and holds an Investors in People gold award. We provide specialist supported living and residential services for adults with severe learning and physical disabilities.

Key duties and responsibilities of our Domiciliary Care Deputy:

  • Assisting the domiciliary care manager in managing and working alongside the care staff team, when required, to provide effective care and support to service users. This includes providing on-call support.
  • Assisting the domiciliary care manager in managing the general care and healthcare administration matters within the tenancies. Including staff rota planning; development of individual care plans; risk assessments.
  • Assisting the domiciliary care manager with the day-to-day personnel management within the home.
  • Ensuring compliance with care regulations and procedural matters.
  • Monitoring and supervising the Lifestyle activities for service users
  • Ensuring the tenancies and equipment is in good working and decorative order.

Our ideal Domiciliary Care Deputy will have the below skills and experience:

  • A full driving license and business insurance is required for this role
  • NVQ level 4/5 Health & Social Care or equivalent.
  • Previous supervision experience.
  • A good understanding of Dalesview Partnership's policies and procedures and CQC requirements.
  • Good knowledge and awareness of the levels of functioning of learning disability groups. Including experience planning and co-ordinating service user's health requirements with other health professionals.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills in order to develop relationships with staff at all levels, other health professionals, service users, and their families.
  • Demonstrate a flexible, caring, creative and adaptive approach to your work.
  • Good time management and written skills.
