Are you a recent Speech & Language Therapy graduate, or experienced Teaching Assistant with experience in Speech and Language support?
LTF Recruitment are currently seeking both speech & language graduates and experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to join the dedicated SEND team in an inclusive two from entry central Coventry primary school.
The successful applicant will be working as a Speech & Language Teaching Assistant to support children with Speech language & communication needs across the school helping with the development of their language and communication skills so that they can access learning, develop their social skills and general wellbeing.
The Role:
- Supporting children across the school with speech and language development
- Create a nurturing and inclusive environment that promotes children's engagement, and learning.
- Implement individualised learning plans and strategies as directed by the class teacher and SENCo following EHCP targets.
- Support the children in developing social skills and fostering positive peer relationships.
- Monitor and record the child's progress and behaviours, providing regular feedback to the class teacher and SENCo.
Who we are looking for:
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification or relevant Speech & Language degree equivalent
- Previous experience working with children with Speech and Language difficulties.
- Understanding of various alternative communication systems
- Knowledge of the UK primary curriculum
- Experience working with children with SEND.
