55.5k (Very good salary)

Shift pattern (40hr average week)

Week 1: Mon-Weds 12 hour days

Week 2: Thu-Sat 12 hour days

Week 3: Mon-Thu 12 hour nights

This role is site based, working for a highly successful and rapidly expanding organisation in Tameside.

My client, one of the most successful and well-known brands in the area are seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for their state of the art facility in Tameside.

You'll play pivotal roles in ensuring the delivery of efficient and effective maintenance of operating equipment, repair, identifying reliability issues, root cause problem solving and improvement of assets, their availability and the usage of energy and water across site.

As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer you will be actively involved in the following tasks:

You'll be accountable to ensure all assigned Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules are carried out at the defined frequency and completed to the required standard to ensure downtime is minimized.

Being responsible for supporting installation, commissioning, and testing within the area as the need arises, you'll work closely with and coach operators, engineers, and team leaders to perform autonomous maintenance tasks, machine set ups optimisation and support growth in equipment capability as required.

In order to be successful in this role you will need the following skills & experience:

You must have completed a formal mechanical bias engineering apprenticeship, ideally within an industrial/ manufacturing industry.

Experience of maintaining a CMMS (Agility or SAP / SHIRE)

Experience of continuous improvement activities

Awareness of lean manufacturing tools and techniques

Experience of utilising a CMMS

A strong background and skill set in general mechanical engineering including bearings, pneumatics, pumps, valves, gearbox's etc is preferred.
