Finance assistant - Transactional treasury

An exciting opportunity to join a business that is continuously growing, a chance to develop professionally and gain experience in a transforming function. They are looking for a finance assistant - transactional treasury to join their team for on a 12 months fixed term contract.
Your new role

  • Deliver a transactional treasury service to our internal customers, in line with agreed customer requirement, to support the company to deliver its objectives.
  • Sets up and validates all manual payments requests on our banking platforms in line with associated policies.
  • Ensures delivery of all bacs payments via our ERP systems in timely manner whilst ensuring correct adherence to Governance.
  • Develop & maintain effective reporting to all levels within the business for areas of payments and Procurement cards. With a view to drive improvements in all areas.
  • Administration of company Procurement cards, set up, maintenance and query resolution.
  • Maintains Approval rotas ensuring these are updated and distributed to the business accordingly.
  • Build strong relationships with any internal / external customers along with the wider finance function, translating technical information.
  • Dealing with all queries in a timely manner
  • Ongoing continuous improvement and better ways of working to ensure an evolving service delivery.
  • Proactive Approach and ability to work under own initiative and to complete a task or raise concerns in the appropriate manner
  • Act at all times within the companies rules, policies, procedures, standing orders, financial regulations, health, and safety legislation, and adhere to legislative and regulatory requirements.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience of specialist support / service area, in a busy high-volume Shared Service environment essential
  • Confident communicating with all levels of internal and external stakeholders across business functions & confident to challenge effectively.
  • Experience of working to Service Level Agreements (SLA's)
  • Excellent Time Management, precision, and ability to work under pressure.
  • A strong attention to detail and ability to follow process and controls, identifying compliance issues.
  • Experience & ability to work and support through change and continuous improvement.
  • Experience of working in a regulated sector desirable but not essential

What you'll get in return
A salary of £27,000 - £29,800 per annum
Hybrid working 1-2 days in the office per week
