Job Description:

We are seeking a Newly Qualified Solicitor to join our client's Wills & Probate team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and motivated individual to develop their expertise in Wills, Probate, and Estate Administration. You will work closely with experienced solicitors and partners, gaining invaluable experience and support as you build your career.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing comprehensive advice to clients on Wills, Probate, and Estate Administration matters.
  • Drafting Wills and Powers of Attorney.
  • Handling Probate applications and administering estates.
  • Advising on inheritance tax planning and trusts.
  • Managing a caseload of clients with varying needs, ensuring high standards of client care.
  • Conducting meetings with clients, taking detailed instructions, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Liaising with clients, beneficiaries, and third parties such as financial institutions and HMRC.
  • Keeping up-to-date with changes in the law and best practices in Wills & Probate.

Requirements:

  • NQ+ with a valid practising certificate.
  • Strong academic background with a focus on Private Client law.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage a diverse caseload.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • A commitment to providing a high standard of client care.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in a Private Client department, either during training or through paralegal work.
  • Knowledge of inheritance tax planning and trust administration.
