Are you an experienced Panel Wirer who is accurate when reading electrical schematic diagrams whilst undertaking production assembly work?

Bright Side Recruitment Ltd is assisting an established and respected Croydon based company in their search for a reliable Panel Wire Person to add depth to their existing team.

The role is being offered on a full time, permanent basis. The working hours are 8am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 4.30pm on Fridays.

Set in a production working environment, where no two projects are the same, the successful candidate will be treated as 'one of the family' and will receive ongoing support and training from a highly experienced management team.

As a Panel Wirer, your duties will include:

  • Reading and correctly interpreting electrical drawings
  • Assemble and wire custom panels and enclosures ready for testing and despatch
  • Working from bills of materials
  • Crimping and wire stripping
  • Loom making
  • Testing

Experience required:

  • Previous experience as a Panel Wireman / Woman (or a similar role) is preferred
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, wiring techniques, and electrical codes are preferred
  • Familiarity with power tools and hand tools used in electrical work
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and schematics
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Initially, as a Panel Wirer you will be working under instruction as part of a team. After initial orientation, the objective is for you to work without direct supervision and to the highest of standards.

Ideally, the company is looking for a person who can demonstrate longevity in previous employment, but the main qualities being sought are a solid work ethic, and a genuine interest in the electronics / electrical industries.
