Team Administrator - Part Time

The starting salary for this role is £18,743 per annum (pro rata to £26,777 FTE), working 25.2 hours per week.

We are looking for a part time Team Administrator to work in this varied and interesting role within the Children, Families & Learning Business Support Team based in our Woking office. A laptop will be supplied if applicable to your role.

This role is part time working 3.5 days per week. Monday - Wednesday, 8:50am - 5:00 pm. Thursday, 08:50am - 12:30pm. Our Social Care Business Support teams provide support to front line social care workers and, whilst you won't be required in the office 5 days a week, there is the expectation you will work in the office on a rota basis at least two days a week. Core working hours are 08:50-17:00 to ensure full cover is provided to operational teams and front-line call lines.

This is an 18-month fixed term contract/ secondment opportunity.

Please note, the contractual location for this role is currently Quadrant Court. However, it is our intention to move within the local area to Victoria Gate in Central Woking later this year.

About the Role
Children, Families and Learning provides a range of highly specialist services to vulnerable children and young people. Services are delivered directly to children and their families within extensive statutory frameworks and staff working in these areas need specialist knowledge in order to deliver effective services to these high risk and high need groups. Our administration teams support front line Social Care and Education staff.

In this role you will organise multiagency meetings on behalf of the social care teams, liaise with professionals both within Social Care and with other agencies; keep track of information, update and maintain spreadsheets and databases; take meeting notes and subsequently distribute to involved parties, ensuring timescales are met; and provide performance information.

You will be highly organised and willing to take responsibility and use initiative; and comfortable in setting your own priorities and meeting deadlines. You will make sure that everything is in place to guarantee that all runs smoothly for the processes and teams you support.

Excellent interpersonal skills are essential along with a high level of written and oral communication skills. You will have experience of working with highly confidential information in a customer focused environment and have the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is confident, organised and able to implement a proactive approach to your work
  • Has excellent IT skills and is proficient in using Microsoft Office
