LTF are looking for a Behaviour Mentor to start in the new academic year in Croydon at one of our fantastic partner schools. As a Primary Behaviour Mentor, you will play a vital part in creating a positive and supportive learning environment for our primary school students. In this role you will work closely with students, teachers, and parents. By supporting students with SEMH and learning needs you will be helping them overcome learning barriers, creating a profound and lasting change in their lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote social-emotional development with 1:1 student mentoring.
- Foster a self-regulating environment, teaching students the skills they need to manage their own behaviour.
- Design and implement bespoke behaviour plans, supporting the classroom teacher.
- Implement long term strategies in the classroom to contribute to a positive learning environment.
The ideal candidate will be:
- Previous experience working with primary age students (Mandatory)
- Maintain a calm demeanour when dealing with challenging behaviour always providing students with a strong role model.
- Able to foster a culture of respect and inclusivity.
- A passion and enthusiasm for working with SEN students.
- Hold a Relevant TA qualification.
